Holistic Dog Behavior Philosophy
My Philosophy
Dogs are living in a world that wasn’t made for them. Our human world can be overwhelming and scary. This can manifest as reactive, aggressive or fearful behaviors that can be hard to witness in our dogs! My job is to help dogs navigate the world and empower owners to understand and guide their dogs through it.
I believe that every dog deserves to feel safe, loved, and understood. By using the methods described below, I can help dogs and their people build a trusting, joyful relationship where both can thrive.
A Holistic Approach
As a dog behavior consultant, I believe in using a kind and thoughtful approach when working with dogs. Rather than focusing on a single moment of behavior, I take a holistic approach that looks at the entire picture. This means considering a dog's history, daily routines, and investigating factors like their diet, exercise, and mental stimulation. I also make sure their physical and emotional needs are being met. By taking all these aspects into account, we can uncover the root causes of behavior issues and create lasting changes that help dogs feel better, not just act better.
My Techniques:
You might have heard of terms like "positive reinforcement", "LIMA" or “force free” and “fear free” in the world of dog training, but what do these really mean? Let's break it down so you can understand the core principles that guide how I help dogs and their owners. Click on each topic to learn more:

Summary
By using these principles, I aim to help dogs live happier, more fulfilling lives while strengthening the bond between them and their owners. It’s all about compassion, patience, and making the learning process enjoyable for everyone.
If you're ready to take a deeper look at your dog’s behavior and work together to uncover the root causes, I’d love to help. Let’s create a plan that supports your dog’s overall well-being and sets them up for a happier, more balanced life.
